MATCH PREVIEW :: BSC Glasgow vs. Edinburgh University

By Sam Jenkinson

BSC Glasgow look to qualify for their first ever Lowland League Cup semi-final as they take on the Edinburgh University at the Indodrill Stadium.

A superb win over Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood put BSC into the quarters, with goals from Aidan Ferris and Blair Lyons helping them take down the Colts for the first time ever.

That game helped new BSC boss Stephen Swift and his coaching staff continue their 100% winning record, with three wins from three. In their way are the students of Edinburgh Uni, who picked up an impressive away win of their own in their first round tie.

Two quickfire second half goals gave Dorian Ogunro’s side a 2-1 victory at Gala Fairydean Rovers

BSC and the Students last met on April Fool’s Day, with a strong away performance and some superb goals giving BSC a 3-1 win.

Since then, however, Edinburgh Uni picked up wins against Whitehill Welfare and a super showing on the final day against relegated Preston Athletic.

Swift will be hoping for another confident performance as BSC look to continue their good form and set up a potential tie against either Civil Service Strollers or Preston Athletic.
