MATCH PREVIEW :: BSC Glasgow vs. Stirling University
Written by Sam Jenkinson
BSC Glasgow will be out for revenge as they look to get back to winning ways this weekend against the students of University of Stirling.
They were heartbreakers for Mark Adams and his side at the beginning of this season, with a last minute equaliser from Rory McEwan cancelling out Aidan Ferris’ early opener.
The two sides also faced each other on the final day of the Lowland League season last year and played out an incredible 3-3 draw, with Tom Woods and Robert Jones grabbing goals that day.
After a difficult start to the 2016-17 season, the last five have seen Shelley Kerr’s side go undefeated and bring themselves up the Lowland League table into sixth.
With both University sides getting Hogmanay off, Kerr’s side haven’t played since their 3-3 draw with Selkirk on December 17th. The students will be looking to get 2017 off to a winning start as they stick around with the chasing pack in the Lowland League.
For BSC, the first game of the new year sees a chance to move on from a home Hogmanay defeat at East Stirlingshire and pick up their first three points in three games.
